This is a common sight in Napo County and Jingxi County. Aluminium mining has caused ecological destruction to the surrounding area.

那坡民中一位孤儿由叔叔抚养，叔叔仅有能力完成砖房框架的一半，至今屋内仍像工地，没有门窗
Though this building looks like a construction site without finished doors and windows, a student and his uncle lives here. The uncle did not have sufficient funds to complete the building project.

她说有了蚊帐，这张床就是我的宫殿
She said that her bed is her palace when it has a mosquito net

奶奶患有严重风湿病，行动不便
This grandmother has severe arthritis, and she is unable to walk.

Presenting sponsorship funds in the Napo County Ethnic High School

那坡民中的谈话结束后，学生围着我们道别
At the conclusion of the visit to Napo Ethnic High School, many of the students came to say goodbye.

A teacher at Kuixu junior high school told us that he was deeply touched by our work, So he took two days off to join us and teach English at Longlin Junior High School.

A volunteer big sister shared this thought with these students, ‘Determination Comes From Your Dream’.

奶奶严重驼背仍下地干活，他们属于壮族的分支：黑衣壮
This grandmother still works in the field despite a serious humpback. The couple are members of the Black Zhuang Ethnic group.

志愿者把助学金一一放入信封才发给学生
These Tomorrow Program volunteers are preparing the sponsorship money. The money will be placed in envelopes and presented to the students.

龙合初中几个特别优秀的学生会后留下来继续提问
These top students of Longlin Junior High School have stayed after the session to ask volunteers questions.

我们把定业初中晚自习谈话提早到下午举行
At Dingye Junior High School the planned discussion session for the evening was moved forward to the afternoon.

瘦小的初一新生，非常认真听简阿姨说话，她清澈明亮的大眼睛似乎在说：我一定要坚持上学
This new student listens intently to Aunt Tricia. Her posture and eyes seems to tell us she is determined to go to school.

她们美丽的眼睛透露着对明天的希望和向往
Their beautiful eyes reveal their hopes dreams for the future

The smile on this boy’s face can cheer anyone up.

The village of Dingye lies beneath these clouds.

陪同家访老师们使出最大力气推动陷在泥泞中的小面包车
On the way to a home visit the van got stalled on a mudded road. All the teachers accompanying us had to get out and push really hard to free the vehicle.

家访面包车换了新电池仍发不动，陪同家访的老师在车上找到一块草席铺在泥巴上，钻进车底找问题
The van’s motor would not restart. One of the teachers placed a straw mat underneath the van so that he could examine the vehicle more thoroughly.

食堂太挤，男生们打了饭站在食堂外面吃，女生拿回宿舍吃
Lunch time is very crowded in the school’s cafeteria. Usually the boys prefer eating outdoors and the girls eating in their dorms.

同学们利用午休时间洗衣服
Many students use their afternoon breaks to wash their clothes.

给孩子们解答他们的疑问：简体字和繁体字有何不同
Aunt Tricia is explaining the difference between the simplify and the traditional chinese characters to the students.

谈话结束后，学生围着我们聊天
The Tomorrow Program volunteers are engaged in conversation with the students after class.

别哭，我们下学期一定回来......
Don’t cry, we will be back next semester......

这名孤儿说：简阿姨放心，我已学会坚强
This orphan said, “Don’t worry about us Aunt Jane, I have learned how to be strong already”.
